The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has finalized the names of its lawmakers under the proportional representation system.
A meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee held on Sunday at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi decided the four lawmakers the party will send to the House of Representatives through the proportional representation system.
Party chairman Rajendra Lingden said the names will be made public only after the list is formally submitted to the Election Commission Nepal.
The meeting also recommended one individual for appointment to the Provincial Assembly in Madhesh Province, where a seat is currently vacant.
Chairman Lingden also expressed gratitude to voters who supported the party despite the difficult circumstances and congratulated party leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi for winning the party’s only seat under the first-past-the-post system in the House of Representatives election. The party also thanked all voters who cast their ballots in its favor.
