Five people from Surkhet have gone missing after entering Bardiya National Park for hunting.
The missing individuals have been identified as 25-year-old Resham Samseli, 41-year-old Ravilal Damai, 34-year-old Rambhadur Gharti, and 30-year-old Sunil Samseli, all from Barahatal Rural Municipality-1, Jyamire, and 45-year-old Durgabahadur Sijali, originally from Lekbeshi Municipality-8, Gangate, who currently resides in Bardiya.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budhathapa of the District Police Office Surkhet, police received information about the disappearance at around 5 PM on Sunday after the group failed to return from hunting.
Following the report, a four-member police team led by Police Assistant Inspector Topendra Singh Thakuri has been deployed for search operations. The District Police Office Bardiya has also been informed, and coordination is underway to locate the missing individuals.
