Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Balen Shah, will not attend the party’s orientation program organized for newly elected lawmakers.
The two-day residential orientation, which began मंगलवार (Tuesday) at a hotel in Gwarko, Lalitpur, concludes today. Party chair Rabi Lamichhane is expected to briefly attend the closing session.
According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, Shah is currently busy with preparations related to the formation of the upcoming government, where he has been projected as a potential future Prime Minister.
Jha stated that Shah will be engaged in physically and mentally demanding responsibilities in the coming days, which is why he could not participate in the program. He also urged people not to interpret Shah’s absence otherwise.
The orientation program focused on parliamentary practices, the current legal framework, and policy-making processes for the newly elected members.
