Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has stated that his party remains firmly committed to Nepal’s current constitution.
Speaking at the closing session of an orientation program for party lawmakers on Wednesday, Lamichhane emphasized that the party’s commitment to the existing system, recent political changes, and the constitution remains unwavering. He also expressed confidence that party MPs would uphold this commitment.
However, he clarified that the party believes improvements are needed in the current system of governance.
Lamichhane further noted that the contributions of veteran leaders should not be overlooked. He said no one has the right to disrespect the role played by leaders of older political parties in shaping the nation.
