The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system along with local winds.
At present, most areas of Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province, as well as other hilly and mountainous regions, are experiencing mostly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country has partly cloudy skies.
Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall with thunder and lightning are occurring in some places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and a few locations in other regions.
During the day, the weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, hail, and strong winds in many areas of Koshi Province, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in some parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
At night, the weather will remain generally cloudy nationwide, with chances of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few hilly and mountainous areas, including parts of Koshi Province and other regions.
