Banks and financial institutions in Nepal will observe a total of 35 public holidays in the upcoming year 2083.
According to a notice issued by the Human Resource Management Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, banks will remain closed on major national and cultural occasions. These include New Year, Labour Day, Buddha Jayanti, Republic Day, Raksha Bandhan, Gaijatra, Krishna Janmashtami, Haritalika Teej, Constitution Day, Indra Jatra, Dashain, Tihar, Chhath, Lhosar, Maha Shivaratri, and Holi (Fagu Purnima), among others.
