The Nepali Congress has resumed its Central Working Committee meeting today.
The meeting, which began on Friday, was not held on Saturday due to the Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. It is continuing at the party’s central office in Sanepa from 8:30 a.m., according to acting General Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal.
The session is being chaired by Vice President Bishwprakash Sharma, following the resignation of party President Gagan Thapa, which was formally presented in the meeting.
During the meeting, Vice President Sharma submitted the electoral review report, and central committee members shared their views on the report on Friday, including Arjun Prasad Joshi, Bharat Kumar Shah, Dhana Khatiwada, Sudhir Kumar Shivakoti, Subash Kumar Pokhrel, Kamal Prasad Bhusal, Jeet Narayan Shrestha, Ramesh Prasad Dhamala, Leeladevi Bokhim Limbu, Bharat Bahadur Khadka, Jankaraj Giri, Dev Prasad Timilsina, Shambhu Bahadur Budhathoki, Tekraj Paudel, Keshavraj Sharma Acharya, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Dr. Amita Pradhan, Uma Shivakoti, Indira Karki, Vishwanath Rizal, Sunil Kumar Yadav, and provincial chairpersons Uddhav Thapa (Koshi) and Amarsingh Pun (Lumbini).
Other central committee members are expected to present their opinions in today’s session.
