All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has postponed the international friendly match against Hong Kong, China, which was scheduled for Chaitra 12 at Dasharath Stadium.
The decision comes after the National Sports Council Nepal (NSC) failed to provide the necessary physical infrastructure for the match. In a press release on Sunday, ANFA stated that due to the unavailability of the stadium and other essential facilities, the game could not be conducted.
According to the release, ANFA had formally requested the provision of Dasharath Stadium, floodlights, and a scoreboard from NSC on Falgun 10 and again on Chaitra 3. “As NSC did not grant approval or make the necessary facilities available, we were compelled to postpone this friendly match,” said ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah.
ANFA also expressed apologies to Nepali football fans for the inconvenience caused by the postponement of the match against Hong Kong.
