A mild earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck the Bajhang district on Monday afternoon, with its epicenter around the Rayal area.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur, the tremor occurred at 1:14 PM.
Earlier, on Chaitra 3, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake had also been recorded in the Sitola area of Darchula district.
Nepal, being part of the Himalayan region, frequently experiences small to moderate earthquakes due to its active geological structure.
