In Domba Shailung Rural Municipality-4, police have taken into custody a 60-year-old man for allegedly killing his son-in-law.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on Monday when Prem Bahadur Tamang had gone to his in-laws’ home with gifts. While walking along the road, he was attacked by his father-in-law, Veer Bahadur Tamang, resulting in his death.
Police Chief Bhola Kumar Bhatt reported that Veer Bahadur was arrested on Tuesday morning around 7:30 AM at a location called Kharpani in the same ward.
Preliminary investigation indicates no major dispute prior to the incident. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhatt stated, “There was a minor family disagreement between in-laws over whose house to visit, and the father-in-law struck the victim with his hands, leading to his death.”
Although there was no clear intent to kill, Prem Bahadur’s death occurred as a result of the altercation. Veer Bahadur has been taken to the District Police Office in Manthali for further investigation, which remains ongoing.
