The hearing on a writ petition filed against the decision to withdraw the case involving Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Ravi Lamichhane has been postponed until the day after tomorrow.
The petition challenges the decision made by the Office of the Attorney General to withdraw cases related to money laundering and organized crime against Lamichhane and others.
The case was also listed for a hearing today but remained incomplete. While arguments from the petitioner’s side have concluded, arguments from government lawyers and Lamichhane’s legal team are still pending.
The hearing had been proceeding since last Monday in the bench of Judges Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman. The court has now adjourned the proceedings, scheduling the remaining arguments for the next hearing.
