President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to administer the oath of office and secrecy to senior-most Member of the House of Representatives, Arjun Narsingh KC, today.
The oath-taking ceremony has been scheduled for 11:15 AM on Wednesday at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas.
KC is the senior-most member among those elected in the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21.
In the election, 165 members were elected through the first-past-the-post system, while 110 were elected under the proportional representation system. KC, a lawmaker from the Nepali Congress, was elected through the proportional representation system.
Following his swearing-in, senior-most member KC is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected Members of the House of Representatives on Chaitra 12 (Thursday).
