
A van carrying students met with an accident at Joikuti, Galkot Municipality–5 in Baglung on Friday morning, leaving seven people injured.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 7:45 AM when the van, heading from Harichaur to Hatiya with students of Galkot Multipurpose Campus on board, veered off the road and plunged about seven meters down.
The injured have been identified as driver Mohan Singh Sunar (25), Susmita BK (18), Pramila BK (18), Jiban Khatri (18), Muna Gautam (18), Anita Kshetri (19), and Sunita Sapkota (18).
All the injured students have been taken to Galkot Municipal Hospital for treatment, and their condition is reported to be normal, according to Galkot Area Police Office.
A police team of five personnel led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Man Bahadur Karki was deployed to the accident site for rescue and further investigation.
