
The CPN (Unified Socialist) and the rebel faction of the CPN (National Unity Campaign) have formally merged. The faction led by Mahendra Aryal has now been integrated into the Unified Socialist during a program held at the party office in Aloknagar.
CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal welcomed the new members into the party. The program was chaired by senior leader Pramesh Hamal and conducted by Vice-Chair Dr. Gangalal Tuladhar.
Earlier, Bamdev Gautam, Chairperson of the National Unity Campaign, had already joined the CPN (Unified Socialist). He has been entrusted with senior leadership responsibilities in the party, ranking third in hierarchy.
