
Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, arrived in Kathmandu on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Nepal at the friendly invitation of Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.
She was welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by Foreign Minister Arzu Rana, Tourism Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, and other senior officials. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this marks the first high-level visit from Vietnam to Nepal, scheduled from August 23 to 25 (Bhadra 7–9).
During her stay, Vice President Yadav and his Vietnamese counterpart will hold delegation-level bilateral talks in Kathmandu on August 24 (Bhadra 8).
In addition, Vice President Xuan is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on other high-ranking dignitaries of Nepal. The visit holds special significance as this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam.
Vice President Xuan will return to Vietnam on August 25 (Bhadra 9).
