The Nepali Congress has scheduled the election of its Parliamentary Party leader for Baisakh 8 (Tuesday). The party’s Parliamentary Party Office at Singha Durbar sent SMS notifications to its lawmakers, asking those outside the Kathmandu Valley to arrive in the capital by Monday.
Lawmakers currently inside the valley have also been requested not to travel outside. The message sent to members states: “As the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party election will be held on Baisakh 8, honorable members who are outside the Kathmandu Valley are requested to arrive by Baisakh 7, and those inside the valley are requested not to leave.”
The Nepali Congress has 38 members in the House of Representatives.
