On the occasion of Haritalika (Teej), devotees thronged Pashupatinath and other Shiva temples across the country from early morning today.
To facilitate smooth worship, the Pashupati Area Development Trust arranged special management, opening the four gates of the Pashupatinath Temple as early as 3:00 AM, according to Acting Member Secretary Subhas Chandra Joshi.
Some devotees had already lined up at the temple premises before 3:00 AM. At present, it takes around 15 to 20 minutes for devotees to complete darshan (worship) and exit the temple, Joshi added. Nearly 3,000 security personnel have been deployed around the temple area for crowd management.
The temple authorities have arranged the entry line from the outer section of the Pashupati area. During the Shri Yantra Puja inside the temple, arrangements have also been made for devotees to view the rituals through screens from outside.
Information officer Anita Bhattal stated that devotees are allowed to enter the main temple, perform darshan in front of the deity, and then exit immediately to ensure smooth flow of worshippers.
