
Singer Ram Krishna Dhakal’s investment venture, the film Malati Mangal, has officially begun with a muhurat ceremony held on Thursday at the Mahadevsthan Temple in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. The event included a script and camera worship, with the first clap given by Dhakal’s parents, Gopal and Karmacharya.
Actors Vijay Baral and Barsha Raut performed the first scene, marking the start of filming. Speaking at the ceremony, Dhakal expressed his commitment to producing a “quality and meaningful film” that reflects the emotions and sentiments of Nepali society.

The film features a star-studded cast including Subarna Thapa, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Sushma Nirola, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Shaku Shah, Suchitra Upreti, Dinesh Shahi, Rijan Pariyar, Tara Sharma, Geeta Shree, Raj Pangeni, Sushmita Gurung, and Sagar Bhattarai, among others.
Directed by Praku Pandey, who also penned the story, the screenplay and dialogues are written by Guragai. The film is said to be a romantic drama rooted in family emotions.
According to executive producer Sagar Gyawali, major filming will take place in the scenic landscapes of Tanahun and Syangja districts, with shooting scheduled to start from Saturday.
Malati Mangal is being produced under the banner of Rani Music International Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Uni Entertainment. The producers include popular singer Ram Krishna Dhakal, with co-producers Rabin Shrestha, Babu Subedi, Manoj Bajgain, and Ishwar Bajgain.
