The entire country remains under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough currently positioned north of its average location, close to the Terai region of Nepal.
Skies remain fully overcast nationwide. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in several parts of Koshi, Madhesh, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in many areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.
For today, moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in many areas across all provinces. Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected at one or two locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
