
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China has been approved. A minister informed that the cabinet meeting held Friday at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, gave the green light for the trip.
During the meeting, discussions were also held on the main and regular agenda items to be raised during the China visit.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled for a five-day visit to China starting Saturday. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, he will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin and address the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit on Bhadra 16 in Tianjin.
Oli will also participate in a special event marking Japan’s defeat in the war, held during the visit.
The delegation accompanying the Prime Minister includes his wife Radhika Shakya, Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Raghuji Pant, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, MPs Purna Bahadur Khadka and Chhabilal Bishwakarma, and economic and development advisor Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada, along with other senior government officials.
Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return home on Bhadra 18.
