Baglung, Aug 30 – Continuous rainfall has blocked the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, a national pride project. The road was obstructed early this morning after a landslide occurred at Kalakhola in Baglung Municipality–13, according to Keshav Thapa, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Baglung.
Due to the landslide, vehicular movement along the section has come to a complete halt. The area has witnessed major landslides in the past as well, and authorities say the large debris has made clearance work challenging.
The Kaligandaki Corridor Project, construction contractors, and Baglung Municipality will initiate efforts to clear the road once the rainfall subsides, police said.
