The opposition party, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is set to announce its candidate today (Sunday) for the upcoming by-election in Rupandehi Constituency No. 3, scheduled for Kartik 17.
According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, a meeting of the party’s secretariat will be held at 1:30 PM at the central office in Banasthali, Kathmandu. Following the meeting, the party will officially declare its candidate. “After the meeting, there will be a party entry program along with the announcement of our candidate for Rupandehi-3,” Jha informed.
The secretariat meeting will discuss the evaluation and selection of the candidate for Rupandehi-3, as well as the launch of a special diaspora campaign and other proposed agendas. Currently, nine individuals are competing for the party’s nomination, from which one will be finalized as the official candidate.
