The Syangja–Parbat road section remains obstructed due to continuous rainfall. A landslide at Dumrebhanjyang in Waling Municipality–14 has blocked the road since Monday morning, and it has not yet been reopened after 24 hours.
Despite efforts throughout Monday to clear the road, large-scale landslides have hampered the process, according to Waling–14 Ward Chairperson Bodhraj Kunwar (Raju). He stated that with a break in the rainfall this morning, efforts to reopen the road have resumed.
Due to the landslide blockage, travelers have been stranded, especially those commuting through the southern parts of Parbat like Pakuwa and Byadi connected via Waling. The incessant rainfall over the past three days has disrupted most rural roads across the Syangja district.
Meanwhile, Syangja’s Acting Chief District Officer Deepak Paudel has urged the public to travel with caution. He advised against traveling at night and warned people to avoid areas near rivers or with high water flow.
