Nepal has become eligible for Facebook’s Content Monetization Ads after being added to the list of countries and regions approved by the platform.
This means creators in Nepal can now earn money from public videos and reels posted on Facebook. Until recently, Nepal was not included in this list. Facebook usually selects specific countries and languages for monetization eligibility.
However, the company has stated that not all languages will be eligible for monetization.
According to Facebook, the performance bonus program and video/reels ads that used to run ended on August 31. Following that, Facebook introduced a new unified Content Monetization Program for creators.
Currently, Nepal is among 70 countries eligible for content monetization. Facebook claims this program will make it easier for creators to earn money by merging all previous programs into one.
From now on, creators can monetize reels, photos, text posts, and stories.
Facebook has already invited 1 million creators to join the beta program and plans to extend invitations to more creators in the coming months.
To participate, creators must go to their Professional Dashboard, find the Monetization tab, and click on Content Monetization to gain access.
