CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has hinted that unregistered social media platforms may be shut down.
Posting on social media, he wrote:
“Until social media remains closed, let us try to restore the good social traditions that it has disrupted.”
The government’s deadline for platforms, including Facebook, to register expired at midnight on Wednesday.
