
The second Statute Convention of the CPN-UML is continuing today (Saturday) at Sunrise Hall, Godavari, Lalitpur. According to UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, the session began at 8 a.m. this morning and will feature the presentation of reports that remained pending on Friday.
Today, reports will be presented by Keshav Badal on behalf of the Central Discipline Commission, Dr. Pushpa Kandel on behalf of the Central Audit Commission, and Dr. Vijay Subba on behalf of the Central Election Commission.
On the first day, Friday, Prime Minister and Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli presented the political report, while Vice Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister as well as Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel presented the statute amendment proposal. General Secretary Shankar Pokharel presented the organizational report, and Amrit Kumar Bohora, Chairman of the Central Advisory Council, also presented his report.
Delegates will be divided into 10 groups today to hold group discussions on the reports. The convention, which began yesterday with the slogan “Building a Decisive National Power is Our Commitment; Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali is Our National Goal,” will run until Sunday.
Altogether, 2,341 participants are attending the convention, including 2,026 delegates from across the country and an additional 315 as organizers.
