On the occasion of the 22nd Civil Service Day 2082, Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Bhagwati Nypane, emphasized the need to make the civil service more technology-friendly, citizen-centered, and efficient.
In her message, Minister Nypane highlighted that in today’s era of rapid transformation, the use of digital technology, artificial intelligence, big data, and innovative solutions is essential to deliver effective services.
She underlined that no country’s governance system can be effective without a professional and neutral civil service. The civil service, she noted, not only supports the government in policymaking but also plays a vital role in policy implementation, service delivery, and development management.
“In a federal democratic republican governance system, a capable, transparent, accountable, and citizen-friendly administration is indispensable for achieving sustainable peace, good governance, development, and prosperity,” she said. “Therefore, it has become essential for the civil service to provide quick, simple, and transparent services through a technology-driven, citizen-focused, and efficient system.”
Minister Nypane further stressed that capacity building, professionalism, continuous learning, and reform among employees are crucial to gaining public trust. She stated that building a responsible, ethical, result-oriented, and innovative administrative structure is the need of the time.
Extending her greetings on the occasion, Minister Nypane expressed confidence that Civil Service Day would inspire all public servants to serve the nation and its people with greater dedication.
