The rise in gold and silver prices in the international market has also affected the local market in Nepal.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold, which was traded at Rs. 210,000 per tola last Friday, has increased by Rs. 2,000 today, reaching Rs. 212,000 per tola.
The price of silver has also gone up by Rs. 10 per tola and is currently being traded at Rs. 2,500 per tola.
Last Wednesday, the price of gold stood at Rs. 207,900 per tola, while silver was traded at Rs. 2,480 per tola.
International media reports that gold is currently being traded at USD 3,586 per ounce in the global market.
