
At least 14 protesters injured during the ‘Gen Z’ demonstration in Kathmandu Valley have died while undergoing treatment at various hospitals today. More than 100 others are receiving medical care across different facilities.
According to the Trauma Center, six protesters died during treatment, while 25 others remain hospitalized, including five in critical condition. The Civil Hospital confirmed three deaths among those admitted there. At the Kathmandu Medical College, one out of 20 injured patients succumbed to injuries.
Similarly, the Everest Hospital reported three deaths, with 34 others still under treatment. At the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, one protester has died, while 16 remain hospitalized.
The Ministry of Health and Population has directed hospitals to provide free treatment to all injured protesters. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Anand Kafle said that a detailed assessment of casualties and damages from the protest is underway.
