
The Lalitpur District Administration Office has issued a curfew order in certain areas of Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Chief District Officer Suman Ghimire announced that the curfew, issued under Section 6 (Ka) of the Local Administration Act, 2028, will remain in effect today from 7:00 a.m. until midnight.
According to the order, residents are prohibited from movement, assemblies, rallies, protests, meetings, or sit-ins within the designated areas.
Areas under the curfew order include:
- Bhaisepati Area (Wards 4, 18, 25): From the road leading to Bungamati in the east, CG Housing and Chobhar Galchi road in the west, Vishnu Devi Temple below Gayatri Petrol Pump in the north, and the descent road leading to Itini in the south.
- Sanepa Area (Ward 20): From Sanepa Chowk to Indrayani Temple road in the east, Bagmati Corridor road from Balkhu Bridge to Manmohan Park in the west, Ring Road service lane from Balkhu Bridge to Sanepa Chowk in the north, and the road from Indrayani Temple to Bagmati Corridor in the south.
- Chyasal Area (Ward 9): From the suspension bridge over Manohara River Corridor in the east, Chyasal Stadium in the west, Manohara River in the north, and the road leading to Mal Pokhari in the south.
CDO Ghimire stated that the curfew was imposed to maintain peace and security and to prevent any possible untoward incidents.
