
The death toll in the Gen-Z movement, which has spread across the country, has reached 30, according to details collected from hospitals nationwide. Victims reportedly died while undergoing treatment at Trauma Center, Civil Hospital, Everest Hospital, and others.
According to the Ministry of Health:
- Outside the Kathmandu Valley, 5 people died at Bheri Hospital, Banke, and 2 at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
- The 5 who died in Banke were prisoners from the Nauabasta Regional Prison and Juvenile Reform Center.
- Apart from 3 police personnel, the names of the deceased have not yet been officially released by authorities.
The ministry’s data further shows that 1,033 people have been injured in the protests. Among them, 713 have been discharged after treatment, while 253 remain hospitalized.
