Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki and businessman Durga Prasai have entered the Nepal Army headquarters under military security. Others, however, have not been allowed inside.
As the Gen Z-led protests turned violent, the executive, legislative, and judicial bodies have collapsed. The President, Prime Minister, and top political leaders are currently under military protection, while the army has taken command of the country.
Following Gen Z’s recommendation for Karki to lead an interim government, the army brought her to the headquarters for discussions.
