
Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has resumed normal flight operations.
According to Airport General Manager Hanshraj Pandey, flights have been operating regularly since Wednesday evening. “Domestic and international flights are running normally, as in previous days. Coordination with security agencies has been ensured to facilitate passenger movement,” he said.
The airport clarified that it cannot accommodate additional flights beyond the current schedule and operations will continue at the previous capacity.
Due to the ongoing curfew in the Kathmandu Valley, passengers are being allowed to travel based on valid identification documents. The Nepal Tourism Board has arranged shuttle buses to transport foreign tourists to their destinations, while airlines are also making arrangements to ensure passengers reach their destinations.
According to Deependra Kumar Karn, Information Officer at private airline Buddha Air, flights have been operating normally since Wednesday morning. Passengers whose travel was halted in the past few days are being accommodated.
Tribhuvan International Airport had been closed from Bhadra 24 due to disruptions caused by the Gen Z protests. Following a decision by the Airport Security Committee, flights resumed from 3:30 PM Wednesday, and both domestic and international flights have been operating since the evening.
