
The death toll from the Gen Z protests in Kathmandu has risen to 34, according to the Ministry of Health.
A total of 1,368 people have been injured across the country, with 321 still undergoing treatment in various hospitals. Meanwhile, 949 have already been discharged after receiving medical care.
Hospital-wise fatalities include:
- 6 at Civil Hospital, Kathmandu
- 8 at the National Trauma Center
- 5 at Bheri Hospital
- 3 each at Everest and Frontline Hospitals
- 1–2 deaths reported at other hospitals
The casualties occurred after protesters broke through barricades near the Parliament building in New Baneshwar, triggering clashes with police. Security forces opened indiscriminate fire, leaving dozens wounded, many of whom were rushed to hospitals.
