The Nepal Insurance Authority has directed insurance companies to swiftly and smoothly settle claims arising from the difficult situation that began on Bhadra 23.
Director Kundan Sapkota stated that, given the irreparable losses in both public and private sectors, as well as damages and hardships suffered by insured property, the Authority has urged non-life insurance companies to facilitate claim settlements without delay.
The Authority has also instructed insurers to submit weekly reports on claim payments related to damages caused during the protests and vandalism on Bhadra 23 and 24, which led to significant loss of life and property.
