
The bodies of those who died in the violence following the Gen-Z group’s protest on Bhadra 23 are being handed over to their families.
Dr. Gopal Chaudhary, head of the Forensic Department at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, said that the post-mortem examinations have been completed and the process of transferring the bodies to families has begun.
According to him, 36 bodies were brought to the hospital’s forensic department for post-mortem. Of them, the identities of two women and one man are still unknown.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that a total of 1,872 people were injured during the protests. Among them, 1,465 have been discharged after treatment, while 299 are still undergoing treatment at 61 hospitals across the country.
