Prime Minister Sushila Karki has intensified the process of expanding her cabinet, aiming to form an 11-member Council of Ministers. She held a detailed discussion today at Baluwatar with her close ministers and the Chief Secretary.
So far, PM Karki has been running the government with only three ministers — Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. According to sources at Baluwatar, today’s meeting was attended by these ministers along with the Chief Secretary.
“The Prime Minister is in talks with her ministers,” the source said, adding, “Discussions are focused on the names of those who will be included in the cabinet. If not today, there is a strong possibility of expansion by tomorrow.”
