The upcoming Nepali film “Varistha Balram”, directed by Surendra Poudel, is gearing up for release on the day of Bhai Tika (October 23). Ahead of its premiere, the makers have unveiled two official posters.
The first poster features lead actors Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral alongside other cast members. Dayahang appears thoughtful with a partial close-up, while Vijay is shown gazing intently with a stern expression. Actress Samriddhi Aryal adds vibrancy with her radiant smile, and together with Dayahang and Vijay, five other actors are depicted chasing someone on three motorcycles — one ridden by Vijay himself, and another by Pradeep Chaudhary in a Madhesi look. The poster teases suspense about the storyline.
The second poster highlights a face-off between Dayahang and Vijay, portraying them as rivals locked in a struggle for dominance. The imagery suggests a battle to prove who deserves the title of “Varistha” (senior). With a highway and tipper trucks in the backdrop, the poster hints that the story may involve construction or contracting work.
Currently in post-production, “Varistha Balram” is produced under the banner of Vrishabh Siddhi Entertainment in association with Aanbhi Films. Ashish H. Tamang and Shreeraj Karki are the producers.
The film features Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Samriddhi Aryal, Pashupati Rai, Mao Tse Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Rambabu Regmi, and Pradeep Kumar Chaudhary (PK) among others. The story and editing are by director Poudel, with screenplay by Mahesh Dawadi.
Shot across various locations in Chitwan, the film carries a strong social narrative. It includes cinematography by Manakrishna Maharjan, music by Prashant Shivakoti, action direction by Samrat Basnet, and choreography by Pradeep Lama, with Taranath Nyaupane as chief assistant director.
