The teaser of singer-actor Prakash Saput’s upcoming film “Soltini” has been released. The film is slated for release on October 23, coinciding with the Bhai Tika festival.
Directed by Arjun Subedi, the film portrays rural lifestyles, inter-caste romance, and social struggles. Alongside Saput and actress Parikshya Limbu, the cast includes Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Rabindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatiwada, among others.
Shot in scenic locations of eastern Nepal, “Soltini” carries a strong message against caste-based discrimination and inhumane practices, according to director Subedi. The central focus remains the love story between the two lead characters.
The film is produced by Rajina Bisht and Sansar Chaulagain, with Roshan Chaulagain, Basanta Katuwal, and Sujan Adhikari serving as co-producers. The screenplay is co-written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai. The soundtrack features music by Prashant Siwakoti and Hercules Basnet. Presented by Planet Three Films in collaboration with Yolo Entertainment, the film has cinematography by Sushan Prajapati and editing by Nimesh Shrestha.
