
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Sang paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki described Nepal–China bilateral relations as historic and close, reaffirming Nepal’s continued commitment to the One-China policy.
According to Foreign Secretary Bhrigu Dhungana, Prime Minister Karki expressed confidence that China’s support in areas such as trade, investment, connectivity, agriculture, energy, tourism, and technology transfer will continue in the coming days.
She also thanked the Chinese government for its assistance in the reconstruction of the Miteri Bridge in Rasuwa, which was washed away by floods, and expressed hope for similar support in facilitating cross-border transit through other checkpoints.
Ambassador Chen congratulated Prime Minister Karki on behalf of the Chinese government and expressed confidence that Nepal–China relations will grow even stronger. She emphasized that agreements, cooperation, and support between the two countries will continue, and China is always ready to work for the mutual benefit of both nations and peoples.
