The mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali national from Mahendranagar held hostage by the Palestinian group Hamas, met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki at Singha Durbar on Sunday.
During the meeting, they appealed to the Prime Minister to make continuous and decisive efforts for his safe release.
After the discussion, Bipin’s mother Padma Joshi expressed that while previous governments had promised action, no tangible results had been achieved, and she now places hope in the current administration.
Similarly, his sister Pushpa Joshi said she believed Prime Minister Karki, as a mother herself, would better understand the family’s pain. Pushpa added that the Prime Minister assured them she would do everything possible to secure Bipin’s freedom.
A day earlier, Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, had released photographs of 48 Israeli hostages, including Bipin Joshi.
