The government has extended the deadline for renewing social security cards. Previously, cardholders were required to complete the renewal by the end of Bhadra (mid-September), but the period has now been revised to the end of Asoj (mid-October).
This provision has been introduced through the Social Security (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2082. The amended regulations have already been published in the official gazette.
According to the notice published in the gazette, “In Subrule (1) of Rule 9 of the Social Security Regulations, 2076, the words ‘by the end of Bhadra’ have been replaced with ‘by the end of Asoj.’”
