Tank Prasad (TP) Sharma Timalsina, former mayor of Namobuddha Municipality, passed away this morning. His nephew, Prakash Timalsina, confirmed that Timalsina died while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.
The 67-year-old Timalsina, from Namobuddha–2, was elected mayor in the 2017 local elections. He had been seriously injured on Shrawan 10 in a traffic accident on the BP Highway at the 20-kilometer mark, while traveling toward Kathmandu on a scooter driven by his son, Kishor. He had been receiving treatment in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Timalsina is survived by his wife and two sons.
