Durga Prasai, coordinator of the “Campaign to Save the Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizens,” has announced an indefinite movement to reinstate Nepal as a Hindu nation.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Prasai expressed dissatisfaction with the interim government formed under the influence of the Gen-Z movement. He declared that the campaign would begin after the Chhath festival.
“After Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath, we will launch a movement demanding the re-establishment of a Hindu kingdom based on Vedic Sanatan Dharma, inclusive of Kirat and Buddhist traditions,” Prasai said. “The agitation will not stop until restoration is achieved.”
He further emphasized that the movement would be actively led on the ground, not just through social media. “We will lead this movement ourselves and fight to reinstate the 1990 Constitution,” he added.
