A bus traveling from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj met with an accident on the East–West Highway at Umarichowk in Shivraj Municipality-1, Kapilvastu.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ripendra Kumar Singh of the Kapilvastu District Police Office, the bus (registration number Ga 1 Kha 9700) overturned at Umarichowk while en route to Nepalgunj from Kathmandu.
Among the 35 passengers on board, 10 were injured and are undergoing treatment at Sanjivani Hospital in Chandrauta, DSP Singh said.
The bus lost control and toppled to the left side of the road. Further details about the accident are yet to be reported.
