
President Ram Chandra Paudel and interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki held a meeting at Shital Niwas on Wednesday.
According to the President’s Office, the discussion focused on the current political situation, preparations for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5 (Falgun 21), and overall security arrangements.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring good governance and fair elections, while outlining strategies to make the security mechanism more active and accountable.
Before meeting the President, PM Karki separately met with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, CIB Chief AIG Dr. Manoj KC, and on Tuesday evening, she also met Chief of the Nepal Army, Ashok Raj Sigdel, to discuss coordination for election security.
