
Nepal will face India in the semifinal of the ongoing SAFF U-17 Championship today. The match will be played at Colombo Racecourse Stadium in Colombo and will start at 7:45 PM Nepali time.
Earlier today, Bangladesh and Pakistan will play the first semifinal at 3:15 PM Nepali time. The final match of the tournament will be held on Saturday. Nepal reached the semifinal as the runner-up of Group A. In the group stage, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 2–0 in one match but lost 4–0 to Bangladesh in another.
India, on the other hand, entered the semifinal as the winner of Group B, remaining unbeaten. India defeated Maldives 6–0 in the first match, Bhutan 1–0 in the second match, and Pakistan 3–2 in the third match.
The Nepali team playing in the SAFF U-17 Championship includes goalkeepers Pemba Norbu Bhote, Ram Bohara, and Bishesh Baniya. The defenders are Prashant Moktan, Dipen Karki, Dhiraj Rawal, Aditya Rana Magar, Bhuvan Kami, Anmol Karki, Mausam Rokaya, and Anoj Khadka. The midfielders are Prashant Menyangbo, Ram Thami, Krista Bhandari, Pratish Thapa Magar, Bhupesh Lama, Nasib Henjan, Sushan Magar, and Sujan Syangtang. The forwards are Samir Kumar, DIG Vijay Shahi, Nis Kumar Shrestha, and Rohit Shrestha.
