Today, three roads in the country remain completely blocked due to floods and landslides. According to the Nepal Police, the road in Varun, Bhote Khola Rural Municipality–4, Sankhuwasabha, along the Koshi Highway is obstructed. Similarly, the road in Ekuwa, Makalu Rural Municipality–3, on the same highway is also completely blocked by a landslide.
Meanwhile, in Rasuwa, the road connecting Nepal and China has been blocked since mid-July due to flooding. The closure of these roads has disrupted daily life and hindered the transportation of essential goods.
