Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has announced that all files previously stalled due to political connections will now be processed. During an inspection of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, Minister Aryal stated that political influence, which in the past disrupted or delayed investigations, will no longer be tolerated.
“This will not continue as before,” Aryal declared, emphasizing that the government’s primary mandate is good governance. He stressed that without good governance, peace and security cannot be ensured, and without peace and security, it would be impossible to conduct elections within six months.
“Good governance is the first condition. We must promote it and set clear priorities. In the past, political connections obstructed governance, but this government will not allow such interference,” he added.
During his visit to the CIB, Minister Aryal reviewed ongoing investigations and directed Inspector General of Police Chandra Kubera Khapung and other officials to ensure that no inquiries are hindered by any external influence.
