The Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) has decided to dissolve its Central Committee and hold a special general convention in Mangsir.
The crucial decision was made during the party’s Central Committee meeting held on Friday at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.
According to spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota, the meeting decided to organize the special convention under the coordination of party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. The current office bearers will be transformed into the secretariat of the organizing committee, and a powerful commission will be formed to investigate the properties of party leaders and cadres.
Spokesperson Sapkota stated, “The party has decided to begin the property investigation process starting with the office bearers themselves.”
